6. Characterization of Antigenic Properties and High Throughput Protein Purification
Sammanfattning : To understand the cellular processes, knowledge of the localization and function of proteins are essential. There are several high throughput ventures examining the human proteome. However, there are some bottlenecks in these ventures. For example the production and expression of soluble proteins for analysis. LÄS MER
7. Time to farm : A qualitative inquiry into the dynamics of the gender regime of land and labour rights in subsistence farming: an example of the Chiweshe communal area, Zimbabwe

Using the Chiweshe communal area in Zimbabwe as an example, it identifies, investigates and draws conclusions on higher order social processes of gender, power and incremental institutional change in a local context. 8. Structural and functional studies of factor V in health and disease
Sammanfattning : The homologous blood coagulation factors V (FV) and factor VIII (FVIII) are important at sites of vascular injury for the amplification of the clotting cascade. Activated FV (FVa) serves as a cofactor to the enzyme activated factor X (FXa) in the activation of prothrombin. This complex is called the prothrombinase complex. LÄS MER

10. Human vascular alpha-adrenoceptors. A study of peripheral arteries and veins in vitro and in vivo
Sammanfattning : By means of a sensitive myograph and alpha-receptor subtype selective agonists and antagonists the postjunctional alpha-adrenoceptors were characterized in small omental and groin arteries and veins and in long saphenous veins obtained from 52 "healthy" adults during surgery. These vessels were found to have a mixed population of contraction mediating postjunctional alpha-receptors with a predominance of apha1-receptors in the arteries and a predominance of alpha2-receptors in the veins, although regional variations occurred.
