    Sammanfattning : Design deals with matters of aesthetics. Historically, aesthetics in industrial design refers to the designed artifact: aesthetics of objects.     Sammanfattning : This dissertation aims to shed light on the circumstances that allowed Italy to become a reputable country of origin in the international fashion market. In particular, my contribution to the historiography of Italian fashion is a reassessment of the role played by Giovanni Battista Giorgini, whose involvement with the fashion and handicraft industries has not been fully investigated by scholars so far.     Sammanfattning : This thesis explores the late 19th century boulevard press in Stockholm. The study is based on four weekly boulevard newspapers during the period: Figaro, Vikingen [The Viking], Budkaflen [The Fiery Cross] and Hvad Nytt [What’s New]. The main focus of the boulevard press was high-society people and the theatres and restaurants these visited. LÄS MER
