41. Neuroendocrine studies in suicide attempters and in hypersexual disorder
Sammanfattning : Early life adversity is associated with increased risk of high psychiatric disease, suicidal behavior as well as risky sexual behavior in adulthood. Altered functioning of several neurobiological systems, like the serotonergic system and the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis associated with suicidal behavior, may stem from both genetic and developmental causes. 42. Prognostic Factors for Death in Small Intestinal Neuroendocrine Tumours
Sammanfattning : Tumours in the small intestine are rare compared to those in other gastrointestinal organs. Small intestinal neuroendocrine tumours (SI-NETs) are the most common small bowel tumours with an annual incidence of 0.3-1.7 per 100 000 persons. LÄS MER
43. Studies of lipolysis and neuroendocrine rhythms in cluster headache
Sammanfattning : Cluster headache (CH) is characterised by excruciating, unilateral headache attacks, which in the episodic form appear in clusters for weeks or even months. The headache attacks are often accompanied by ipsilateral, cranial autonomic symptoms supporting a local peripheral sympathetic deficit and a parasympathetic discharge. LÄS MER
44. Prognostic factors in prostate cancer with special reference to the effect of hormonal therapy
Sammanfattning : We have used image cell analysis to analyse nuclear DNA content on fine needle aspiration biopsies from 96 patients diagnosed to have prostate cancer 1980-81. By stratifying diploid and tetraploid tumours according to a cytometric proliferation index (PI), we suggest a new DNA-classification that is prognostic of death from prostate cancer in multivariate analysis including conventional prognostic factors. 45. Strategies for optimisation of 177Lu-octreotate therapy – exploring local administration and combination therapy regimens
Sammanfattning : Neuroendocrine tumours (NETs) are a group of heterogeneous tumour types that originate in hormone-producing organs. Patients with NETs are often diagnosed after the primary tumour has metastasised. LÄS MER
