Sammanfattning : Det övergripande syftet med avhandlingen var att belysa och kontextualisera fysioterapeutiska insatser för personer med schizofreniforma psykoser utifrån aktuell forskning om psykomotorisk funktion och självmedvetande. Självmedvetandeforskning, både experimentell och fenomenologisk, kopplar de mest grundläggande självmedvetandenivåerna till vårt kroppsliga ursprung; hur vi via den sensomotoriska funktionen förankras i kroppen och blir medvetna om vår plats i världen. 17. Upper Extremity Disorders - Epidemiology and Measures of Disability
Sammanfattning : The aim of this thesis was to investigate the prevalence and characteristics of long-lasting upper extremity symptoms in a general population and to study some methodological aspects of outcome assessment and reporting, including validation of a Swedish version of an upper extremity region-specific outcome instrument that potentially could be useful for assessing upper extremity disorders. A general health questionnaire was mailed to 3000 persons, randomly selected from a general population register; response rate 83%. LÄS MER

From a physiotherapeutic perspective, this thesis aims to study the assessment and treatment of dizzy patients in primary health care. 19. The influence of abdominal surgery on energy expenditure and working capacity
Sammanfattning : The overall aim of this work was to study the influence of surgery on energy expenditure (EE) during working capacity measurements and during walking. In the first study the aim was to investigate whether two different devices were sensitive enough to reveal differences in energy expenditure during treadmill walking, and if the measurements were reproducible. Sammanfattning : The overall aim of this thesis was to deepen the understanding of work ability by analyzing how different health professionals experience and perceive work ability and assessments of work ability, and also by analyzing rehabilitation outcomes that are related to work ability.
