21. Diagnostic PCR for the Detection of Yersinia enterocolitica and Salmonella in the Food-Chain: Reliability of PCR Performance
Sammanfattning : This thesis deals with the methodological advances of diagnostic PCR including reliability of PCR and pre-PCR processing of food and feed samples. Diagnostic PCR has been greatly improved by the introduction of the second generation of PCR, so-called real-time PCR. LÄS MER
22. Computational Modelling for Cavitation and Tip Vortex Flows
Sammanfattning : Cavitation often brings negative effects, such as performance degradation, noise, vibration, and material damage, to marine propulsion systems, but for optimum performance, cavitation is almost inevitable. Therefore, it is necessary to better understand cavitation in order to maximize the performance without encounter- ing severe problems. LÄS MER
23. Heck Reactions with Aryl Chlorides : Studies of Regio- and Stereoselectivity
Sammanfattning : Homogeneous palladium-catalyzed Heck vinylation of aryl chlorides was investigated under air using Herrmann’s palladacycle and the P(t-Bu)3-liberating salt [(t-Bu)3PH]BF4. Based on the results, controlled microwave heating was utilized to accelerate model Heck reactions with aryl chlorides down to 30 min employing an electron-poor olefin and a mixture of an ionic liquid and 1,4-dioxane as solvent. 24. Sputter Deposition, Mechanical Properties, and Thermal Stability of Nitride Based Superlattices
Sammanfattning : Investigations concerning deposition, mechanical properties and thermal stability of nitride-based superlattice films have been performed. X-ray diffraction and transmission electron microscopy techniques were adopted for microstructural characterization, while nanoindentation hardness and abrasive wear resistance measurements were utilized for evaluation of mechanical properties. 25. Crystallization of NBA-ZSM-5 from kaolin
Sammanfattning : ZSM-5 is an aluminosilicate zeolite with high Si/Al ratio with suitable properties for catalysis, ion exchange, adsorption and membrane applications. The main goal of this thesis was to study the growth of ZSM-5 zeolite crystals from inexpensive natural sources of silica and alumina, as well as n-butylamine (NBA) as a low-cost structure directing agent.
