    Sammanfattning : This thesis is an interrogation of the contemporary politics of movement and more specifically, migration politics from the perspective of the agency of design and designing. 2. 2. Negotiating Tensions : Designers’ responsibilities in democratic entanglements

  3. 3. TILLBLIVELSER : En trasslig berättelse om design som normkritisk praktik

    Författare :Karin Ehrnberger; Sara Ilstedt; Minna Räsänen; Ylva Gislén; Erling Björgvinsson; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :HUMANIORA; HUMANITIES; Machine Design; Maskinkonstruktion;

    Sammanfattning : The increasing awareness of norm-critical perspectives (in society, academia and industry) brings with it the need to develop methods to ensure they can be implemented in practice. This thesis discusses how the role of design contributes to and maintains norms, and shows how design as a norm critical practice has great potential to bridge the gap between theory and practice in norm-critical work. Sammanfattning : The sustainability transitions required to address the climate crisis cannot be achieved by technology alone; radical lifestyle changes are needed. To contribute to meeting this critical challenge, design must move its focus from individual needs, desires, and behaviors to the level of the complex socio-technical systems that shape our society. Sammanfattning : The human body is capable of very rich and complex movements and gestures which we use in everyday life to manipulate, navigate and negotiate the world around us—it is our interface for human experience. However, as technology advances it simultaneously shrinks, moving closer to our bodies, intertwining with the many facets of our lives and positions itself between our experiences of the physical environments around us.
