  1. 1. Air transport liberalisation in the European community 1987-1992 : A case of integration

    Författare :Robin Travis; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; Political science; European Union; air transport; aviation; liberalisation; integration theory; game theory; neo-functionalism; intergovernmentalism; Statsvetenskap; Political science; Statsvetenskap; statskunskap; Political Science;

    Sammanfattning : Commercial aviation in the European Community was regulated by a system based on bilateral negotiations until the late 1980s. Regulation ensured that airlines did not compete. The lack of competition conflicted with the aim of the Treaty of Rome of having a common economic market. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Optical spectroscopy of InGaAs quantum dots

    Författare :Arvid Larsson; Per Olof Holtz; Artur Zrenner; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; quantum dot; semiconductor; optical properties; spin; transport; wetting layer; polarization; kvantprick; halvledare; optiska egenskaper; spin; Electrical engineering; electronics and photonics; Elektroteknik; elektronik och fotonik; Materials science; Teknisk materialvetenskap; Condensed matter physics; Kondenserade materiens fysik; Semiconductor physics; Halvledarfysik;

    Sammanfattning : The work presented in this thesis deals with optical studies of semiconductor quantum dots (QDs) in the InGaAs material system. It is shown that for self-assembled InAs QDs, the interaction with the surrounding GaAs barrier and the InAs wetting layer (WL) in particular, has a very large impact on their optical properties. Sammanfattning : Establishing efficient methods for local administration of drugs to the inner ear has great clinical relevance for the management of inner ear disorders. However, the administration route remains a critical issue. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Leveraging Data-Driven and Alignment Techniques for Optimal Railway Track Maintenance Scheduling

    Författare :Mahdi Khosravi; Alireza Ahmadi; Uday Kumar; Iman Soleimanmeigouni; Anders Ekberg; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Railway tracks; degradation; maintenance; tamping; track geometry; planning and scheduling; alignment; Operation and Maintenance Engineering; Drift och underhållsteknik;

    Sammanfattning : The railway infrastructure plays a pivotal role in fostering economic growth and poverty alleviation. Over time, these infrastructures deteriorate due to aging and usage, compromising their functionality. Given their crucial socioeconomic significance and vast scale, ensuring their functionality and availability is paramount. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Three Dimensional Multiphysics Modeling of Reversible Solid Oxide Electrochemical Cells for Degradation Studies

    Författare :Maria Navasa; Värmeöverföring; []
    Nyckelord :SOCs; SOECs; SOFCs; multiphysics; modeling; three dimensional; transport phenomena; electrochemical reactions; overpotentials; potentials; boundary conditions; validation; experimental data; degradation; carbon deposition; steam; hydrogen; carbon dioxide; carbon monoxide; carbon activity;

    Sammanfattning : Solid oxide electrochemical cells (SOCs) are considered a highly promising technology for providing efficient, sustainable and economic conversion between chemical energy and electrical energy. SOCs can be operated as fuel cells, where electric power is obtained from fossil or non-fossil hydrocarbon fuels depending on the origin or as electrolysis cells, whereby using electrical energy from renewable sources like wind or solar, chemical energy can be stored as fuels.
