41. Data-driven Ship Performance Models - - Emphasis on Energy Efficiency and Fatigue Safety
Sammanfattning : Due to digitalization in the maritime industry, a huge amount of ship operation-related data has been collected. The main objective of this thesis is to exploit machine learning/big data analytics to build data-driven ship performance models, focusing on speed-power relationship modeling, and fatigue accumulation assessment during a ship’s operation at sea. 42. Charge Transport Properties in Nanostructured Electrodes of Metal Oxides
Sammanfattning : In the last decade research in the field of nanostructured metal oxide thin film electrodes for various applications, e.g., solar cells and hydrogen production, has been of great interest. In this thesis, interfacial and bulk electrochemical properties and charge transport properties of nanostructured thin films have been investigated. LÄS MER
43. Transport Coefficients during Drying of Solids containing Multicomponent Mixtures
Sammanfattning : This study investigated the transport coefficients involved in mass and heat transfer during the drying of a porous solid partially saturated with multicomponent mixtures. It included the coefficients governing liquid transport through the solid, the matrix of multicomponent diffusion coefficients in the liquid phase, and the effective thermal conductivity. LÄS MER
44. Transport of Mercury Species in the Environment. Exchange between Oceanic Waters and the Atmosphere
Sammanfattning : Mercury is an element present in the earth crust as well as a component in the atmosphere. During centuries mercury has been released by natural sources, e.g. volcanic eruptions, evasion from water surfaces and degassing from soil. LÄS MER
45. Nanoelectronic Devices Based on Low-Dimensional Semiconductor Structures
Sammanfattning : The present thesis reports on results from the fabrication technology development and the corresponding electrical transport measurements of low-dimensional semiconductor structures. The focus of the work has been directed towards two parts: the ballistic transport in nanostructure devices at room temperature, and the development of a charge-sensing technique for quantum dots (QD) in nanowires.
