  1. 6. Phylogeny and Taxonomy of Subfamily Zygophylloideae (Zygophyllaceae) with Special Reference to the Genus Fagonia

    Författare :Björn-Axel Beier; Mats Thulin; Brian Schrire; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Biology; Phylogeny; Taxonomy; Zygophylloideae; Fagonia; Biogeography; Biologi; Biology; Biologi;

    Sammanfattning : Members of Zygophylloideae are shrubs, shrublets and herbs of arid and semiarid areas of almost all continents, and many of the species are major components of the vegetation in their areas of distribution. A phylogenetic analysis of Zygophylloideae based on noncoding trnL plastid DNA sequences and morphological data, indicates that the currently recognised genera Augea, Tetraena, and Fagonia, are embedded in Zygophyllum. 2. 7. Syntactic variation in English quantified noun phrases with all, whole, both and half

    Författare :Maria Estling; Graeme Kennedy; Växjö universitet; []
    Nyckelord :HUMANIORA; HUMANITIES; syntactic variation; quantifiers; all; whole; both; half; linguistic factors; British English; American English; Australian English; grammaticalisation; totality; corpus; newspaper corpus; English language; Engelska språket;

    Sammanfattning : The overall aim of the present study is to investigate syntactic variation in certain Present-day English noun phrase types including the quantifiers all, whole, both and half (e.g. a half hour vs. half an hour). LÄS MER

  3. 8. Molecular phylogenetics and taxonomic issues in dragonfly systematics (Insecta: Odonata)

    Författare :Rasmus Hovmöller; Thomas Pape; Mari Källersjö; Kjell Arne Johanson; Karl Kjer; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Systematics and phylogenetics; Systematik och fylogeni;

    Sammanfattning : Dragonflies (Odonata) are one of the ancestral groups of extant insects. They represent one of the three most basal branches in the phylogeny of winged insects. The other two groups are the Ephemeroptera, mayflies, and Neoptera, the latter which covers the remaining winged insects. LÄS MER

  4. 9. Disentangling Lecania

    Författare :Rikke Reese Næsborg; Leif Tibell; Stefan Ekman; Bengt Oxelman; Christian Printzen; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :Biology; Crustose lichens; Phylogeny; Taxonomy; Morphology; New species; Phylogenetic diversity; Rare species; ITS; mt-SSU; RPB2; IGS; Biologi; Lecania; Ramalinaceae;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis focuses on phylogenetic, taxonomic, ecological, and conservation aspects of the crustose lichen genus Lecania (Ramalinaceae, lichenized Ascomycota). Lecania has previously been defined on basis of relatively few morphological characters, and the genus had never been treated in molecular phylogenies. LÄS MER

  5. 10. Phylogenetic and taxonomic studies in the tribe Antirrhineae (Scrophulariaceae) with special reference to the genera Kickxia and Nanorrhinum

    Författare :Ghebrehiwet Medhanie; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Developmental biology; Utvecklingsbiologi; Developmental biology; Utvecklingsbiologi; systematisk botanik; Systematic Botany;

    Sammanfattning : The main aims of the present study are (1) to investigate phylogenetic relationships within the Antirrhineae using both morphological and molecular data, and (2) to provide an improved classification of the genus Kickxia sensu lato.Phylogenetic relationships within the tribe Antirrhineae are analysed and discussed on the basis of parsimony analyses of morphological and ndhF gene sequence data.
