  1. 1. Acoustic Sound Source Localisation and Tracking : in Indoor Environments

    Författare :Anders Johansson; Blekinge Tekniska Högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Room acoustics; Speaker localisation; Tracking; State-space filter; Sequential Monte Carlo method; Particle filter;

    Sammanfattning : With advances in micro-electronic complexity and fabrication, sophisticated algorithms for source localisation and tracking can now be deployed in cost sensitive appliances for both consumer and commercial markets. As a result, such algorithms are becoming ubiquitous elements of contemporary communication, robotics and surveillance systems. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Source localisation of epileptiform activity in epilepsy of temporal lobe origin

    Författare :Göran Lantz; Klinisk neurofysiologi; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; frequency analysis; ictal; singe photon emission computed tomography; volume conduction; extracranial; intracranial; LORETA; dipole; source localisation; epilepsy; mesolimbic; Fast Fourier Transform; Neurology; neuropsychology; neurophysiology; Neurologi; neuropsykologi; neurofysiologi;

    Sammanfattning : In patients with drug resistant partial epilepsy, who are under consideration for epilepsy surgery, interictal and ictal EEG recorded with extracranial electrodes plays an important role in the localisation of the seizure onset area. During the past years, methods have been developed, which can be used to estimate the location of the source of epileptiform activity in the brain from extracranial EEG data. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Exploiting Sparse Structures in Source Localization and Tracking

    Författare :Maria Juhlin; Matematisk statistik; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Source localization; Cramér-Rao bounds; Convex Optimization;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis deals with the modeling of structured signals under different sparsity constraints. Many phenomena exhibit an inherent structure that may be exploited when setting up models, examples include audio waves, radar, sonar, and image objects. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Development and Application of Reactor Noise Diagnostics

    Författare :Joakim K.-H. Karlsson; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; BWR stability; noise decomposition; reactor noise; control rod vibrations; core barrel vibration; density wave oscillations; noise diagnostics; PWR noise; localisation; channel instability;

    Sammanfattning : A number of problems in reactor noise diagnostics have been investigated within the framework of the present thesis. The six papers presented cover three relatively different areas, namely the use of analytical calculations of the neutron noise in simple reactor models, some aspects of boiling water reactor (BWR) stability and diagnostics of core barrel motion in pressurized water reactors (PWRs). 5. 5. Mapping and Merging Using Sound and Vision : Automatic Calibration and Map Fusion with Statistical Deformations

    Författare :Gabrielle Flood; Matematik LTH; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Time of arrival; TOA; Time-difference of arrival; TDOA; Subsample methods; Uncertainty measure; Constant offset; RANSAC; Map merging; Map fusion; Change detection; Collaborative SLAM; Structure from motion; SfM; SLAM; Mapping; Localisation; Registration; Sparse maps; Point clouds;

    Sammanfattning : Over the last couple of years both cameras, audio and radio sensors have become cheaper and more common in our everyday lives. Such sensors can be used to create maps of where the sensors are positioned and the appearance of the surroundings. LÄS MER
