1. Progesterone metabolites : learning, tolerance, antagonism & metabolism
Sammanfattning : Progesterone metabolites as allopregnanolone, isoallopregnanolone and tetrahydrodeoxy-corticosterone (THDOC) are increased in the luteal phase of the menstrual cycle, throughout pregnancy and during stress. Allopregnanolone and THDOC are neurosteroids with 3α-hydroxy, 5α-configurations and positive modulating effect on the GABAA receptor. LÄS MER
2. Analysis and Design of Base Station Antennas for Mobile Communications
Sammanfattning : The thesis deals with base station antennas and the environment they work in. Polarization diversity, dual band operation, and adaptive antenna systems are discussed with emphasis on how antennas for these applications should be designed. We compare the polarization diversity performance of different types of dual polarized antenna elements. LÄS MER
3. Microstrip Antennas for 60 GHz Band Application
Sammanfattning : The next generation of mobile networks will exploit frequencies above 5 GHz and will use a wide available bandwidth for high speed data communication. At the time of writing this thesis work is ongoing to launch into the market a communication system operating between 25 GHz and 30 GHz. LÄS MER
4. Active and Passive Unequally Spaced Reflect-Arrays and Elements of RF Integration Techniques
Sammanfattning : Using an array synthesis tool based on a modified differential evolution algorithm, it is shown that the position-phase synthesis exhibits improved pattern characteristics compared to both the phase only and position only synthesis of uniform amplitude antenna arrays. The design of an unequally spaced planar reflect-array and an active power combining reflect-array are presented. LÄS MER
5. Insect Diversity in Changing Landscapes
Sammanfattning : During recent decades, concern about the loss of biodiversity has increased. To change this negative trend there is an urgent need for effective conservation measures and there are ample evidence that conservation of organisms without an understanding of their ecology and behaviour is impossible.
