6. Development of a Generic Model for Life Cycle Inventory and Environmental Assessment of Upstream Processes for Electronic Products
Sammanfattning : The goal with the present thesis is to develop tools, methods and models to assess the upstream processes in the life cycle assessment (LCA) methodology for current and new electronic products. The goal is to get a better understanding on how to collect data to be used in a life cycle inventory (LCI) and use life cycle approaches to environmentally assess the electronics. LÄS MER
7. Information modelling for the manufacturing system life cycle
Sammanfattning : This thesis deals with information modelling within the scope of the manufacturing system life cycle, i.e. the development phase and the operation phase. LÄS MER
8. System Expansion and Allocation in Life Cycle Assessment With Implications for Wastepaper Management
Sammanfattning : The choice of system boundaries and allocation methods can have decisive effects on the results and conclusions of a life cycle assessment (LCA). System expansion makes it possible to model the indirect effects of a decision; however, this modelling is often based on inaccurate assumptions. LÄS MER
9. Energy simulation and life cycle costs : estimation of a building's performance in the early design phase
Sammanfattning : Sustainable development and the protection of the environment are key issues in our society today. The building stock in Europe accounts for over 40% of the final energy consumption, CO2 emissions and generation of waste. A large part of the life cycle performance is determined early. LÄS MER
10. Two-Level Multi-Objective Genetic Algorithm for Risk-Based Life Cycle Cost Analysis
Sammanfattning : Artificial intelligence (AI) is one of the fields in science and engineering and encompasses a wide variety of subfields, ranging from general areas (learning and perception) to specific topics, such as mathematical theorems. AI and, specifically, multi-objective genetic algorithms (MOGAs) for risk-based life cycle cost (LCC) analysis should be performed to estimate the optimal replacement time of tunnel fan systems, with a view towards reducing the ownership cost and the risk cost and increasing company profitability from an economic point of view.
