    Sammanfattning : Perennials such as woody plants, growing in the high northern part of the earth have to cope with seasonal changes alternating between mild summer and the harsh winter periods. To survive and adapt their reproductive phase to the most favorable environmental conditions trees cycle between periods of active growth during summer and a state of growth arrest during winter, referred to as the activity- dormancy cycle.     Sammanfattning : Carbon dioxide removal (CDR) methods, such as bioenergy with carbon capture and storage (BECCS), have gained traction in international climate policy arenas to meet net-zero goals. Even though companies operating facilities with large point sources of biogenic emissions, such as pulp and paper industries and energy utilities, could implement carbon capture, there are few studies that take a bottomup perspective to study these key actors.
