    Sammanfattning : This thesis deals with psychological issues concerning patients with malignant gliomas, and their spouses. There is no known medical cure, and the patients have a limited survival expectancy. The project involves two qualitative and two quantitative studies. Since health care staff are often in charge of severely ill and dying people, they should be able to offer situation-bound support in existential crises, and also to know when to call for expert assistance such as the hospital chaplain.
