  1. 1. Protein-Based Adhesives for Particleboards

    Författare :Sara Khosravi; Mats K. G. Johansson; Mikael Hedenqvist; Mikael Gällstedt; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Chemical engineering; Kemiteknik;

    Sammanfattning : The main objective of this study was to elucidate the possibilities to use wheat gluten (WG) as a binder for particleboards, as well as soy protein isolate (SPI). The focus was on the effect of the adhesive formulation and the processing conditions, while the press parameters were kept constant. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Amorphous magnesium carbonate nanomaterials : Synthesis, characterization and applications

    Författare :Jiaojiao Yang; Ken Welch; Mika Lindén; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; high surface-to-volume ratio; nanoparticles; mesoporous; magnesium carbonate; amorphous drugs; supersaturated concentration; general adhesives; UV-shielding;

    Sammanfattning : High surface-to-volume ratio materials, including nanoparticles and mesoporous materials, have a number of applications due to their large surface area and special structures. Traditional approaches for synthesizing high surface-to-volume ratio nanomaterials are often complicated, expensive or environmentally unfriendly. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : This thesis aims at characterizing tridimensional (3D) printed polymers onto PET textile materials via fused deposition modeling (FDM) that uses both non-conductive and conductive polymers, optimizing their mechanical and electrical properties through statistical modeling and enhancing them with pre and post-treatments and the development of polymer blends. This research work supports the development of technical textiles through 3D printing that may have functionalities. LÄS MER

  5. 5. We bang our heads, therefore I am : subculture as laboratory of identity – the case of heavy metal

    Författare :Susanna Larsson; Rolf Lidskog; Emma Engdahl; Philip Lalander; Örebro universitet; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; subculture; heavy metal; identity; authenticity; ritual; alienation; gender; Sociologi; Sociology;

    Sammanfattning : Subculture is a structure against which identities are both created and guarded. These identities are often socially and practically negotiated against an idea of individual authenticity. The thought of nurturing ones uniqueness while striving to fit in is a common duality and a clear cause of friction within subcultures. LÄS MER
