    Sammanfattning : This study examines a displaced agricultural family during its entrepreneurial journey in Colombia using a single case study, following an inductive and interpretivist approach. The main objective of the dissertation is to explain how family interactions, historical events, and context influence the decision to start and potentially reactivate an agricultural family business.     Sammanfattning : The subject of this study is entrepreneurship and gender, and the research question addressed is: What meaning has gender for entrepreneurship? Through a "journey of learning" the issue of entrepreneurship and gender is examined with two perspectives; the individual- and the relational perspective.     Sammanfattning : A theoretical framework based on the process of how founders and members of a team make decisions during the establishment stage of their respective new ventures, is a relatively unexplored area in the entrepreneurship research field. I develop upon Sarasvathy’s (2001) framework, which is based upon the existence of two decision making processes; causation and effectuation, during the establishment phase of a new venture. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : Entrepreneurial opportunities are frequently noted and addressed in the literature of immigrant entrepreneurship; however, little is known about how these entrepreneurial opportunities come into existence and how immigrant entrepreneurs create such opportunities. The purpose of this thesis is to examine why and how immigrant entrepreneurs create entrepreneurial opportunities through embedding processes in the home country and the host country. LÄS MER
