26. Metabolic engineering strategies to increase n-butanol production from cyanobacteria
Sammanfattning : The development of sustainable replacements for fossil fuels has been spurred by concerns over global warming effects. Biofuels are typically produced through fermentation of edible crops, or forest or agricultural residues requiring cost-intensive pretreatment. LÄS MER
27. On Optimization of Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles
Sammanfattning : The rising concerns about the global warming and emissions on one hand, and the limited sources of fossil fuels on the other hand, has made electrificationof vehicles an interesting topic among researchers and companies. Hybrid electric vehicles (HEV) have been on market or several years. LÄS MER
28. Aiming at Moving Targets : Applying Cognitive Work Analysis to Work Domains in Transition
Sammanfattning : The design of IT systems for complex work environments is essential for workers to be able to operate more effectively and efficiently. To design a system that supports the workers' specific tasks we need to understand the work demands and the context in which the system operates. LÄS MER
29. Fatigue och återhämtning efter hjärtinfarkt
Sammanfattning : Fast and efficient acute medical treatment of myocardial infarction (MI) has developed during recent years and has resulted in a reduced number of days spent in hospital and increased survival. To optimize persons’ recovery, secondary preventive strategies are important. LÄS MER
30. How Does it Feel and How is it measured? Assessing Sitting Comfort and Postures of Rear-Seated Car Passengers in Stationary and Driven Scenarios Over Time
Sammanfattning : This licentiate thesis presents the results of an empirical study focused on examining the comparative effectiveness of short stationary studies versus long driving studies in evaluating sitting postures, belt fit, and sitting comfort in cars. The study employed a mixed-methods approach, in which 19 participants experienced two different test scenarios in the rear seat of a car: a stationary scenario within an indoor garage and a driven scenario on a predefined route in regular traffic, each lasting 45 minutes.
