  1. 26. On the Uptake of Energy Efficiency Technologies in European Residential Buildings

    Författare :Clara Camarasa; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Europe; measures; residential building stock; technology; energy efficiency;

    Sammanfattning : Residential buildings constitute approximately 75% of the European building stock, accounting for circa 30% of the EU´s overall energy demand and emissions. They also represent one of the biggest sources of energy saving potential, holding a crucial role in achieving EU carbon targets. LÄS MER

  2. 27. Managing high environmental performance? : Applying life cycle approaches and environmental certification tools in the building and real estate sectors

    Författare :Nils W. O. Brown; Tove Malmqvist; Peter Guthrie; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; HUMANIORA; HUMANITIES; Buildings; operational energy use; life cycle assessment; environmental certification; environmental assessment; renovation; strategy; design process; value creation; embodied environmental impacts; Planering och beslutsanalys; Planning and Decision Analysis;

    Sammanfattning : The main aim of this thesis is  to demonstrate and critically assess life cycle approaches’ and environmental certification (EC) tools’ potential for supporting decisions for improved environmental performance in the building and real estate sectors.Using life cycle approaches, the thesis shows that for new build and renovation cases aiming for low operational energy use that embodied global warming potential (GWP) due to material production can constitute a large portion of a building’s lifetime GWP. 3. 28. Green procurement of buildings: estimation of environmental impact and life-cycle cost

    Författare :Eva Sterner; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Steel Structures; Stålbyggnad; Construction Engineering and Management; Byggproduktion;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis focuses on environmental impact reduction and life-cycle cost estimations in building procurement. The aim for the work presented in this thesis is to contribute to the understanding of whether costs and environmental impact of a building can be integrated in a, from the users perspective, practical model applied for tender evaluation. 4. 29. Exploration and Optimization of Building Design Solutions using Computational Design

    Författare :Jani Mukkavaara; Marcus Sandberg; Timo Hartmann; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Building information modeling; Evolutionary design; Generative design; Parametric design; Byggproduktion och teknik; Construction Management and Building Technology;

    Sammanfattning : The focus of building design is increasingly moving towards considering performance as a driver, which can especially be seen in the realm of sustainable or green building design due to the advent of ambitious goals regarding energy consumption and emissions. Accounting for these concerns is an important target of the building design process, where there is a potential to make valuable contributions. LÄS MER

  5. 30. Use of configuration information in construction projects to ensure high performance of healthcare facilities

    Författare :Pia Schönbeck; Anders Ansell; Malin Löfsjögård; Göran Lindahl; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; configuration management; information management; project management; product management; healthcare facilities; Byggvetenskap; Civil and Architectural Engineering; Concrete Structures; Betongbyggnad;

    Sammanfattning : The transfer of information between the different phases of construction projects is limited, which complicates the quality assurance of configurations. Functional requirements on the building configuration are often ambiguous and lack measurable acceptance criteria. LÄS MER
