27. Differentiation and Pathogenicity within the Saprolegniaceae : Studies on Physiology and Gene Expression Patterns in Saprolegnia parasitica and Aphanomyces astaci
Sammanfattning : Saprolegnia parasitica and Aphanomyces astaci are parasitic water moulds belonging to the Oomycetes. Despite their importance as parasites they are very little studied at the molecular level and the work described in this thesis was aimed at increasing the molecular knowledge of these organisms by cloning and characterising genes of potential importance for reproduction and pathogenicity. 28. The book and its narratives : a critical examination of some synchronic studies of the book of Judges
Sammanfattning : During recent decades, there has been a trend among biblical scholars towards applying methods borrowed from literary studies to the familiar texts of the Old and New Testaments. A major reason for this reorientation is the search for a meaningful and interpretable text; hence, it can be seen as a protest against the historical-critical school and its ambition to reconstruct an authentic text by means of a diachronic analysis. 29. Microfluidic devices for biotechnology and organic chemical applications
Sammanfattning : Imagine if you could combine the power and capabilities ofan entire laboratory in the palm of your hand. Advances inmicrofluidic chip technology promise to integrate andminiaturize multiple lab processes into a single palm-sizeddevice. LÄS MER
30. Route Adaptation of Charge strategies for Hybrid Vehicles
Sammanfattning : For vehicles with energy storage devices, here referred to as hybrid vehicles, the control of the system is of great importance. The hardware system can not be judged without its control. This thesis describes a method for determining the potential of an arbitrary vehicle propulsion system for a prescribed driving mission.
