    Sammanfattning : The reception of the American avant-garde poet, playwright, art collector and salon hostess Gertrude Stein (1874-1946) has to a wide extent taken place in an aesthetic context prior to her work’s academic and hermeneutic canonization. This thesis is in part a mapping of this transmedia reception as it is played out in a North American context in the period from her death and until today, and in part an account of Stein’s particular collaborative poetics, through which her work invites such a reception. 2. 2. Strong blast wave interaction with multiphase media

    Författare :Sembian Sundarapandian; Nicholas Apazidis; Konstantinos Kontis; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Blast waves; negative pressure; cavitation; blast wave attenuation; RMI; KHI; Teknisk mekanik; Engineering Mechanics;

    Sammanfattning : The interaction of a blast wave propagating in air with different fluids like water column, aqueous foam and thermal/density inhomogeneity have been studied both experimentally and numerically. The blast waves were generated at atmospheric conditions in a newly constructed exploding wire facility. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Going Beyond the Desktop Computer with an Attitude

    Författare :Tomas Sokoler; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; Human Computer Interaction; Interaction Design; Interface Design; Ubiquitous Computing; Augmented Reality;

    Sammanfattning : This dissertation is based upon the work within a number of research projects, five of which are presented in detail. The work follows the direction of research laid out by the Ubiquitous Computing and Augmented Reality research programs and concerns the broad question of where to go as we seek to take digital technology, and human interactions with this technology, beyond the traditional desktop computer. Sammanfattning : The overarching purpose of this thesis is to develop further knowledge of the consequences of relocating to Activity-based Flexible Offices (AFOs). As workspace design innovations, AFOs are increasingly implemented in organisations. AFOs comprise a variety of workspaces for employees to choose from depending on their preferences or activities.
