16. Flexible inorganic and hybrid thermoelectric thin films based on layered calcium cobaltate
Sammanfattning : With the development of wearable and miniaturized electronics, self-sustaining energy sources have drawn extensive attention. Flexible thermoelectric materials and devices is an approach to convert waste heat into electricity as continuous power supply for such applications. LÄS MER
17. Experimental validation of dynamic component models
Sammanfattning : Proper coil function is an important issue regardingair-handling devices. Thus, proper modeling is important. Thepresent work deals with simulation of heating coil subsystems, especially validation on component level. LÄS MER
18. Improvement of Thermal Comfort in Buildings through Passive Design
Sammanfattning : In hot humid regions the high outdoor temperature has negative effects on the indoor temperature of buildings that are not designed to cope with the local climate. This leads to discomfort for the occupants. LÄS MER
19. SiC based field effect sensors and sensor systems for combustion control applications
Sammanfattning : Increasing oil prices and concerns about global warming have reinforced the interest in biofuels for domestic and district heating, most commonly through combustion of solid biomass like wood logs, hog fuel and pellets. Combustion at non-optimal conditions can, however, lead to substantial emissions of noxious compounds like unburned hydrocarbons, carbon monoxide, and nitrogen oxides as well as the generation of soot. 20. Emissions from realistic operation of residential wood pellets heating systems
Sammanfattning : Emissions from residential combustion appliances vary significantly depending on the firing behaviours and combustion conditions, in addition to combustion technologies and fuel quality. Although wood pellet combustion in residential heating boilers is efficient, the combustion conditions during start-up and stop phases are not optimal and produce significantly high emissions such as carbon monoxide and hydrocarbon from incomplete combustion.
