6. The Back-scattering Problem in Three Dimensions
Sammanfattning : In this thesis we study the (inverse) back-scattering problem for the Schr"odinger operator in $R^3$. We introduce the back-scattering transform $B(v)$ of a real-valued potential $vin C_0^infty(R^3)$, and prove that the back-scattering data associated to $v$ determine $B(v)$. LÄS MER
7. Supersymmetric Localization : A Journey from Seven to Three Dimensions
Sammanfattning : Quantum Field Theory has been a dominating framework in elementary particle physics during the last century. Within this framework, supersymmetric theories have attracted a lot of attention due to their mathematical structure, simplicity and insight into the problems of unification, dark matter and hierarchy. 8. Cosmological aspects of universal extra dimensions
Sammanfattning : It is an intriguing possibility that our world may consist of more than three spatial dimensions, compactified on such a small scale that they so far have escaped detection. In this thesis, a particular realization of this idea -- the scenario of so-called 'universal extra dimensions' (UED) -- is studied in some detail, with a focus on cosmological consequences and appplications. 9. Seven dimensions of consumption
Sammanfattning : This thesis presents the development of the integrative, context-sensitive, and multi-dimensional Consumer Motivation Scale (CMS). The CMS is based on the three higher-order master goals of goal-framing theory: the gain goal (“to guard or improve one’s resources”), the hedonic goal (“to feel better right now”), and the normative goal (“to act appropriately”). 10. Crystallography in Four Dimensions : Methods and Applications
Sammanfattning : The four-electron reduction of dioxygen to water is the most exothermic non-photochemical reaction available to biology. A detailed molecular description of this reaction is needed to understand oxygen-based redox processes. Horseradish peroxidase (HRP) is a haem-containing redox enzyme capable of catalysing the reduction of dioxygen to water. LÄS MER
