    Sammanfattning : In 1999, the Swedish Parliament decided to launch an experiment to test the idea of replacing, at the compulsory educational level, the national time schedule with localized control of schedules. According to the conventional view, education increases skills and knowledge but also affects political interest and political efficacy; factors that all in turn trigger political participation.
