18. Child protection through an abuse-focused lens : Adolescent victimization and Swedish social services responses
Sammanfattning : Knowledge concerning the social services’ use of the Care of Young Persons (Special Provisions) Act 1990:52 (CYPA) is relatively scarce, especially when it comes to the protection of adolescents victimized by abuse. The overall aim of this thesis is to investigate and discuss different conceptualisations of abuse, adolescents’ agency regarding abuse, victimization and social intervention, and how abuse and adolescent victimization are responded to, primarily by the social services. 19. Till handling! : En studie om att omsätta diskurser om flerspråkiga elevers lärande
Sammanfattning : The aim of the dissertation is to examine how teachers in preschool class and the first two levels of Swedish school implement discourses in multilingual pupils' language and knowledge development in their mathematics teaching after receiving continuing professional development. The study is based on the thory of mediated discourse analysis and its methodology, nexus analysis (see Scollon & Scollon 2004), which reveals how discourses are translated into action based on three collaborating forces: interaction order, discourses in place, and the historical body.
