21. The Plasma Contact System : New Functional Insights from a Hemostatic and Thrombotic Perspective
Sammanfattning : The physiological role of the plasma contact system still remains a partial enigma. The aim of the presented work was to expand our understanding of the plasma contact system, focusing on its physiological activation and function, principally from a hemostatic perspective. It also explored contact system activation under pathological conditions. LÄS MER
22. Multivariate spectroscopic methods for the analysis of solutions
Sammanfattning : In this thesis some multivariate spectroscopic methods for the analysis of solutions are proposed. Spectroscopy and multivariate data analysis form a powerful combination for obtaining both quantitative and qualitative information and it is shown how spectroscopic techniques in combination with chemometric data evaluation can be used to obtain rapid, simple and efficient analytical methods. 23. Extended Förster Theory of Electronic Energy Transport within Pairs of Reorienting Chromophoric Molecules
Sammanfattning : An extended Förster theory (EFT), previously derived (L. B.-Å. Johansson et al. LÄS MER
24. Molecular genetics of B- and T-lymphocyte development
Sammanfattning : Lymphocytes are essential for the generation of specific immunity. Development of B cells in the bone marrow and T cells in the thymus have several analogous features, and are tightly regulated processes. Even though there is an increasing amount of information concerning lymphopoiesis, a lot of questions remain. LÄS MER
25. Implementation and optimization of partial element equivalent circuit-based solver
Sammanfattning : The Partial Element Equivalent Circuit (PEEC) method is an integral equation based full-wave approach to solve combined circuit and electromagnetic problems in the time and frequency domain. Using PEEC, an electromagnetic problem is transferred to the circuit domain and then solved using circuit theory which gives PEEC a high flexibility to be used in combined electromagnetic and circuit modeling problems.
