    Sammanfattning : In the production of paper, the quality of the pulp is an important factor both for the productivity and for the final quality. Reliable real-time measurements of pulp quality are therefore needed. LÄS MER

  2. 17. Mass Transport in Wood Disintegration: Implications for the Pulp and Paper Industry

    Författare :Roujin Ghaffari; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; mass transport; specific ion effects; impregnation; Kraft pulping; ionoSolv; ionic liquids; delignification;

    Sammanfattning : Efficient delignification and fractionation processes are essential in the pulp and paper industry. Mass transport events in wood fractionation are of great importance, specifically in two main stages, namely, the mass transport of chemicals into wood and the mass transport of degraded lignin molecules out of cellulose confinements. Författare :Anders Melander; Jönköping University; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; Business studies; Företagsekonomi;

    Sammanfattning : The purpose of this study is to complement and elaborate theories of stability and change in the field of strategic management. From theextensive description and analysis of the Swedish pulp and paper industry development, the industrial wisdom is identified. LÄS MER

  4. 19. Strategies for Reduced Energy Use and Cost in Pulp and Paper Mills by Energy Integration of the Paper Drying Process

    Författare :Kristian Lindell; Avdelningen för kemiteknik; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Paper; Pappers- och massateknik; pulp and paper technology; Wood; Energiforskning; Chemical technology and engineering; Kemiteknik och kemisk teknologi; Combined dryer; Energy research; Black liquor gasification; Heat recovery; Secondary energy; Co-generation; Costs; Energy; Drying;

    Sammanfattning : The cost of energy for drying paper is substantial for the pulp and paper industry, and studies of various strategies for energy cost reductions such as increased energy efficiency, increased heat recovery from the exhaust drying air and reduced cost of the process heat are presented in this thesis. The energy use and cost studies were performed using a block-model based simulation tool developed for this specific purpose. LÄS MER

  5. 20. Extended impregnation kraft cooking of softwood : Effects on reject, yield, pulping uniformity, and physical properties
