  1. 6. Distributed Control for Spatio-Temporally Constrained Systems

    Författare :Adrian Wiltz; Dimos V. Dimarogonas; Jonas Mårtensson; Matthias Müller; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; distributed model predictive control; control barrier functions; spatio-temporal constraints; constrained control; multiagent systems; distribuerad modell prediktiv styrning; kontrollbarriärfunktion; tillstånds-temporala begränsningar; begränsade system; multiagentsystem;

    Sammanfattning : In this thesis, we develop methods leading towards the distributed control of spatio-temporally constrained systems. Overall, we focus on two different approaches: a model predictive control approach and an approach based on ensuring set-invariance via control barrier functions. LÄS MER

  2. 7. Affordances and Constraints of Intelligent Decision Support for Military Command and Control : Three Case Studies of Support Systems

    Författare :Ola Leifler; Henrik Eriksson; Patrick Lambrix; Bartel Van de Walle; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Decision Support; planning; machine learning; information management; Command and Control; Computer science; Datalogi;

    Sammanfattning : Researchers in military command and control (C2) have for several decades sought to help commanders by introducing automated, intelligent decision support systems. These systems are still not widely used, however, and some researchers argue that this may be due to those problems that are inherent in the relationship between the affordances of technology and the requirements by the specific contexts of work in military C2. 3. 8. Methods for Direct Optimal Control of Multibody Systems

    Författare :Staffan C Björkenstam; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; discrete mechanics; robotics; Optimal control; motion planning; multibody dynamics; digital human modeling;

    Sammanfattning : In this thesis we present practical tools and techniques to numerically solve optimal control problems involving multibody systems. The driving application for the thesis has been developing motion planning tools for industrial robots and digital humans. LÄS MER

  4. 9. On Robot Feedback from Range Sensors : Reliable Control by Active Reduction of Uncertainty and Ambiguities

    Författare :Jonas Nygårds; John Hallam; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; robot gripping and docking; LQG-feedback; posture estimation; Gaussian sum; optronic sensing; sheet of light range camera; time-of-flight laser; specular reflection s; multiple scattering; range ghosts ; active reduction of ambiguities; reliability; uncertainty; tolerances;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis is on modelling and experimental tests when non contact sensing isused for feedback control in robotics. The motion of the robot is to be controlled relative to objects in the surrounding workspace during operations like gripping/docking, surface following, shape measuring etc. LÄS MER

  5. 10. Collaborative Measures : Challenges in Airport Operations

    Författare :Simon Okwir; Jannis Angelis; Pernilla Ulfvengren; Felipe Ruiz; Mats Winroth; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; Performance Measurement; Airport Operations; Collaboration Decision Making; Industriell ekonomi och organisation; Industrial Economics and Management; Planering och beslutsanalys; Planning and Decision Analysis; Transportvetenskap; Transport Science; Industrial Information and Control Systems; Industriella informations- och styrsystem;

    Sammanfattning : Over the last 20 years, internal use of Performance Management(PM) within organizations has become much more complex in terms measurement techniques and approaches as well as their deployment within different organizational structures. In contrast to the traditional use of PM as an intra-organizational system, the emergence of networked operations, has extended organizational boundaries of Performance Management System (PMS) to new operational settings where actors often deal with a challenge of Collaborative Measures.
