11. Mechanical Behaviour of Single-Layer Adhesive Joints : an integrated approach
Sammanfattning : Innovative products that are competitive on the market are likely to employ newtypes of materials and unusual geometries. A method that can assemble dissimilarmaterials and irregular geometries cost-effectively and at the same time offera joint that is light in weight and imperceptible, is optimal. LÄS MER
12. Significance of Wilms’ tumor gene 1 as a biomarker in acute leukemia and solid tumors
Sammanfattning : Wilms’ tumor gene 1 (WT1) is a zinc finger transcriptional regulator with crucial functions in embryonic development. Originally WT1 was described as a tumor suppressor gene, but later studies have shown oncogenic properties of WT1 in a variety of tumors. Because of its dual functions in tumorigenesis, WT1 has been described as a chameleon gene. LÄS MER
13. Towards an accurate determination of lignin in chemical pulps : The meaning of kappa number as a tool for analysis of oxidable groups
Sammanfattning : Lignin content is the most important parameter in chemicalpulping. At present, kappa number is the most common parameterfor determination of lignin content and the base for otheron-line methods and for industrial automation (Chapter 1). LÄS MER
14. Classical Wigner Method with an Effective Quantum Force
Sammanfattning : In this work, I will present an effective way to study the dynamics in phase space and obtain the rate constants. Our method is based on the Classical Wigner (CW) model, which is an approximate method for including quantum mechanical effects into molecular simulations. LÄS MER
15. Cold lap formation in Gas Metal Arc Welding of steel : An experimental study of micro-lack of fusion defects
Sammanfattning : Cold laps are defined as micro-lack of fusion defects at the weld toe more or less parallel to the surface of the parent plate. These defects are known to negatively influence the fatigue properties of weldments. Previous studies suggest that cold lap formation can not be avoided completely in Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW).
