11. Laminated Veneer Products : Shape Stability and Effect of Enhanced Formability on Bond-Line Strength
Sammanfattning : This thesis concerns two aspects of the manufacture of laminated veneer products (LVPs). The first aspect is related to the possible improvement of the shape stability of LVPs, and the second has its starting point in the modification of the veneer for enhanced formability as well as the question of whether and how these modifications affect the bond-line strength. 12. Low Power and Low Complexity Shift-and-Add Based Computations
Sammanfattning : The main issue in this thesis is to minimize the energy consumption per operation for the arithmetic parts of DSP circuits, such as digital filters. More specific, the focus is on single- and multiple-constant multiplications, which are realized using shift-and-add based computations. The possibilities to reduce the complexity, i.e. LÄS MER
13. Reconstruction of a stationary flow from boundary data
Sammanfattning : We study a Cauchy problem arising in uid mechanics, involving the socalled stationary generalized Stokes system, where one should recover the ow from boundary measurements. The problem is ill-posed in the sense that the solution does not depend continuously on data. Two iterative procedures for solving this problem are proposed and investigated. LÄS MER
14. Low Power and Low complexity Constant Multiplication using Serial Arithmetic
Sammanfattning : The main issue in this thesis is to minimize the energy consumption per operation for the arithmetic parts of DSP circuits, such as digital filters. More specific, the focus is on single- and multiple-constant multiplication using serial arithmetic. The possibility to reduce the complexity and energy consumption is investigated. LÄS MER
15. Organizational death and employee motivation : Investigating a plant closure in a multi-plant organization
Sammanfattning : Major organizational changes are often connected with a variety of negative outcomes for both employees and the organization alike. As a contrast to this, organizational deaths have instead been associated with increased productivity and motivation to perform, despite certainty of job loss. LÄS MER
