  1. 21. Body movement as material : Designing temporal expressions

    Författare :Linnea Bågander; Clemens Thornquist; Lise Amy Hansen; Högskolan i Borås; []
    Nyckelord :HUMANIORA; HUMANITIES; Design; body; body as material; fashion design; performing arts; temporal form; practice-led research; design methods; motion design; Textiles and Fashion Design ; Textil och mode konstnärlig ;

    Sammanfattning : Movement and temporal qualities have a significant effect on design expressions. However, in the design of dress these are often overlooked, and the static form of a positioned body is considered to be the main driver of design. This work explores the expressions of the body in motion, engaged in the interaction constituted by wearing. LÄS MER

  2. 22. Design for Perception - A human-centric approach to the design of driving automation systems based on the driver’s perception

    Författare :Fjolle Novakazi; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; HUMANIORA; HUMANITIES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; design method; human-centric design; human factors.; mental model; driving automation; cognitive engineering; understanding; empirical research; design tool; perception; levels of automation; mixed-methods research;

    Sammanfattning : The automotive industry is rapidly developing driving automation systems (DAS) with the aim of supporting drivers by means of the automation of longitudinal and lateral vehicle control. As vehicle complexity increases and update-over-the-air features are enabling continuous development of vehicle software and functionality, the driver’s understanding of their responsibility and their vehicle’s capabilities and limitations is becoming significantly more important. 3. 23. Le dialogue musicien-machine : Aspects des systèmes d'interactivité musicale

    Författare :PerMagnus Lindborg; Marc Battier; Mikhail Malt; Université de Paris IV Sorbonne; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; HUMANIORA; HUMANITIES; HUMANIORA; HUMANITIES; HUMANIORA; HUMANITIES; interaction; musique; créativité artificielle; langage; AI; intelligéance artificielle; Art; Technology and Design; Konst; teknik och design;

    Sammanfattning : Ce texte a comme sujet la confluence entre la création musicale et les sciences cognitives. Le but principal du travail a été de faire de la reconnaissance sur le terrain. Le présent texte est donc forcément incomplet, et ne servira que de point de départ pour une recherche substantielle. LÄS MER

  4. 24. Sustainability-, Buildability- and Performance-driven Structural Design

    Författare :Alexandre Mathern; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; HUMANIORA; HUMANITIES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; sustainability; structural engineering; civil engineering; design method; finite element analysis; concrete structures; material developments; buildability; performance; structural developments; requirements; construction technology; integrated design; bridges; constructability;

    Sammanfattning : The construction, maintenance and operation of infrastructure networks represent substantial impacts, both positive and negative, in all three dimensions of sustainability: economic, social and environmental. The greatest possibility to reduce the negative impacts and increase the positive ones is at the early design stage of construction projects. LÄS MER

  5. 25. Design Moves : translational processes and academic entrepreneurship in design labs

    Författare :Luca Simeone; Katarina Wetter Edman; Malmö högskola; []
    Nyckelord :design studies; interaction design; design management; academic entrepreneurship; translation; design moves; modes of translation; strategic ambiguity;

    Sammanfattning : This study investigates the relation between the design activity and entrepreneurial ambition of three academic labs: MIT Senseable City Lab, metaLAB (at) Harvard, and Medea at Malmö University. These labs are positioned at the borderland of academic research, as they operate in connection with external stakeholders (industry, NGOs, government institutions) through, for example, joint strategies of intellectual property management or the creation of start-ups.
