1. In situ Sequencing : Methods for spatially-resolved transcriptome analysis
Sammanfattning : It is well known that cells in tissues display a large heterogeneity in gene expression due to differences in cell lineage origin and variation in the local environment at different sites in the tissue, a heterogeneity that is difficult to study by analyzing bulk RNA extracts from tissue. Recently, genome-wide transcriptome analysis technologies have enabled the analysis of this variation with single-cell resolution. LÄS MER
2. Expression and Mutation Analyses of Candidate Cancer Genes In Situ
Sammanfattning : Cancers display heterogeneity in genetic profiles of the individual cancer cells and in the composition of different malignant and non-malignant cell populations. Such intra-tumor heterogeneity plays a role in treatment response and the emergence of resistance to cancer therapies. LÄS MER
3. Fundamentals of substructure dynamics : In-situ experiments and numerical simulation
Sammanfattning : Substructure dynamics incorporate all features occurring on a subgrain-scale. The substructure governs the rheology of a rock, which in turn determines how it will respond to different processes during tectonic changes. LÄS MER
4. Visualization of Protein Activity Status in situ Using Proximity Ligation Assays
Sammanfattning : In 2001 the human proteome organization (HUPO) was created with the ambition to identify and characterize all proteins encoded in the human genome according to several criteria; their expression levels in different tissues and under different conditions; the sub-cellular localization; post-translational modifications; interactions, and if possible also the relationship between their structure and function. When the knowledge of different proteins and their potential interactions increases, so does the need for methods able to unravel the nature of molecular processes in cells and organized tissues, and ultimately for clinical use in samples obtained from patients. 5. Ionic transport of α-alumina below 1000°C : an in-situ impedance spectrosocpy study
Sammanfattning : Ionic conductivity of metal oxides is critical for the function of a broad range of different components, such as electrolytes in solid oxide fuel cells and alloys designed for high temperature applications. In both cases the ionic conductivity can be studied by in situ impedance spectroscopy, which is also able to reveal information on the dielectric properties of the metal oxides, and in some cases the influence of their microstructure.
