  1. 26. Towards a sustainable road infrastructure in an age of digitization: opportunities and challenges

    Författare :Zhuhuan Liu; Nicole Kringos; Romain Balieu; Aikaterini (Katerina) Varveri; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Sustainable infrastructure; Pavement Maintenance; Optimization; Neutron tomography; Self-healing; Hållbar infrastruktur; Vägunderhåll; Optimering; Neutronavbildning; Självläkning; Structural Engineering and Bridges; Bro- och stålbyggnad;

    Sammanfattning : Pavement system plays an indispensable role in the socio-economic and sustainable development of every modern society. Yet, pavement construction and maintenance is also responsible for a significant fraction of the GHG emissions from the whole transport sector. LÄS MER

  2. 27. Enhancing the Treatment of Systems Integration in Long-term Energy Models

    Författare :Manuel Welsch; Mark Howells; Erik Ahlgren; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Power system models; Energy system models; Resource system models; Smart Grids; Operating reserve; Biofuels; Sub-Saharan Africa; Ireland; Mauritius; ; kraftsystemmodeller; energisystemmodeller; resursmodeller; smarta elnät; operativ reservkapacitet; biobränslen; Afrika söder om Sahara; Irland; Mauritius; ; SRA - Energy; SRA - Energi;

    Sammanfattning : Securing access to affordable energy services is of central importance to our societies. To do this sustainably, energy systems design should be – amongst other things – environmentally compliant and reconcile with the integrated management of potentially limiting resources. LÄS MER

  3. 28. Malmös omvandling: från arbetarstad till kunskapsstad : En diskursanalytisk studie av Malmös förnyelse

    Författare :Veselinka Möllerström; Medie- och kommunikationsvetenskap; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; pr; communication; city branding; urban regeneration; image; Malmo;

    Sammanfattning : Increasingly cities compete for tourist dollars, shoppers, financial investments, know-how and tax-payers by bolstering the cities images as centers of creativity, innovation, knowledge, art, design and so forth. Accelerated and intensified globalization, technological advances, market deregulations,de-industrializations and socio-economic change have urged cities, especially former industrial cities, to remake their image and to develop a new identity.
