1. Zirconium dioxide based dental restorations : studies on clinical survival and fracture behaviour
2. Resin composites : Sandwich restorations and curing techniques
Sammanfattning : Since the mid-1990s resin composite has been used for Class II restorations in stress-bearing areas as an alternative to amalgam. Reasons for this were the patients’ fear of mercury in dental amalgam and a growing demand for aesthetic restorations. LÄS MER
3. Calcium aluminate cement as dental restorative : Mechanical properties and clinical durability
Sammanfattning : In 1995, the Swedish government recommended the discontinuation of amalgam as restorative in paediatric dentistry. Because the mercury content in amalgam constitutes an environmental hazard, its use has declined. LÄS MER
4. Clinical aspects of restorative treatment in the primary dentition
Sammanfattning : The failure rate of restorative treatment in primary teeth was studied in a cohort of children born in 1981 and related to caries diagnosis, prevalence and distribution on different tooth surfaces, and compared with a cohort of children born in 1971. Concurrently, the longevity of composite resin in modified Class 2 cavities in primary molars was followed up and the resistance of deciduous and permanent enamel to acid adjacent to composite resin and glass polyalkeonate cement (GPA) was tested in vitro. 5. On dental ceramics and their fracture : a laboratory and numerical study
Sammanfattning : Background Surface treatments and irregularities in the surfaces may affect the fracture of ceramics. The effects of various treatments on the surface texture of different types of ceramic cores/substructures was therefore qualitatively, quantitatively and numerically evaluated. LÄS MER
