16. EGFR- and HER2-Binding Affibody Molecules : Cellular studies of monomeric, dimeric and bispecific ligands
Sammanfattning : Abnormal expression and signaling of the ErbB receptors is associated with the development and progression of several forms of cancer. In this thesis, new ErbB-targeting affibody molecules are evaluated regarding their cellular effects in vitro. LÄS MER
17. Two-Step Targeting for Effective Radionuclide Therapy : Preclinical Evaluation of 125I-labelled Anthracycline Delivered by Tumour Targeting Liposomes
Sammanfattning : For the treatment of cancer, Auger-electron emitting radionuclides are strongly dependent on their close proximity to DNA to utilize the local therapeutic potential of the Auger electrons. This thesis investigates a two-step targeting approach that uses targeting liposomes for the delivery of an Auger-electron emitter, 125I, coupled to a DNA-binding compound, Comp1, to the tumour-cell DNA. 18. Expressions of mercury-selenium interaction in vitro
Sammanfattning : Interaction between mercury and selenium has previously been observed both in man and in animals. The aim of this work was to study expressions of interaction between mercury and selenium in human K-562 cells. LÄS MER
19. Biomechanical assessment of head and neck movements in neck pain using 3D movement analysis
Sammanfattning : Three-dimensional movement analysis was used to evaluate head and neck movement in patients with neck pain and matched controls. The aims were to further develop biomechanical models of head and neck kinematics, to investigate differences between subjects with non-specific neck pain and whiplash associated disorders (WAD), and to evaluate the potential of objective movement analysis as a decision support during diagnosis and follow-up of patients with neck pain. 20. Spatio-temporal processing of surface electromyographic signals : information on neuromuscular function and control
Sammanfattning : During muscle contraction, electrical signals are generated by the muscle cells. The analysis of those signals is called electromyography (EMG). The EMG signal is mainly determined by physiological factors including so called central factors (central nervous system origin) and peripheral factors (muscle tissue origin). LÄS MER
