  1. 36. Conditional Partial Plans for Rational Situated Agents Capable of Deductive Reasoning and Inductive Learning

    Författare :Slawomir Nowaczyk; Data Vetenskap; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Computer Science; Rational Agents; Artificial Intelligence; Machine Learning;

    Sammanfattning : Rational, autonomous agents that are able to achieve their goals in dynamic, partially observable environments are the ultimate dream of Artificial Intelligence research since its beginning. The goal of this PhD thesis is to propose, develop and evaluate a framework well suited for creating intelligent agents that would be able to learn from experience, thus becoming more efficient at solving their tasks. 2. 37. Applications of Unsupervised Deep Learning for Analysing Time-Varying Power Quality Big Data

    Författare :Roger Alves de Oliveira; Math Bollen; Sarah Rönnberg; Matti Lehtonen; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; power quality; power system harmonics; electric power distribution; interharmonics; big data analytics; pattern analysis; unsupervised learning; deep learning; artificial intelligence; geomagnetically induced currents; Electric Power Engineering; Elkraftteknik;

    Sammanfattning : Continuous power quality monitoring allows grid stakeholders to obtain information about the performance of the network and costumer facilities. Moreover, the analysis of continuous monitoring allows researchers to obtain knowledge on power quality phenomena. Power quality measurements result in a large amount of data. LÄS MER

  3. 38. A Representation Scheme for Description and Reconstruction of Object Configurations Based on Qualitative Relations

    Författare :Heike Joe Steinhauer; Erik Sandewall; Alexander Klippel; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Qualitative Reasoning; Spatial Reasoning; Cognitive Modeling; Human-Machine Interaction; Coarse Reasoning; Artificial Intelligence; Computer science; Datavetenskap;

    Sammanfattning : One reason Qualitative Spatial Reasoning (QSR) is becoming increasingly important to Artificial Intelligence (AI) is the need for a smooth ‘human-like’ communication between autonomous agents and people. The selected, yet general, task motivating the work presented here is the scenario of an object configuration that has to be described by an observer on the ground using only relational object positions. 4. 39. Unpacking Employer Branding in the Information Technology Industry

    Författare :Amir Dabirian; Terrence E. Brown; John Ford; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; Employer branding; employer branding value propositions; employer attractiveness; human resources management; recruitment; retention; psychological contract; IT industry; IBM Watson; artificial intelligence; Industrial Economics and Management; Industriell ekonomi och organisation;

    Sammanfattning : Attracting and retaining the best talent is a concern, particularly for knowledge-based firms in high-turnover industries, which rely on a limited supply of highly qualified individuals (Ewing, Pitt, De Bussy, & Berthon, 2002). In 2014, 36% of global employers criticized talent shortages, and in a 2015 study, 73% of CEOs reported being concerned about the availability of workers with key skills (Mosley, 2015). LÄS MER

  5. 40. Development of Automated Algorithms for Epicardial Adipose Tissue Analysis in Computed Tomography and their Application in Population Based Research

    Författare :David Molnar; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Epicardial adipose tissue; Artificial intelligence; Automatic analysis; Computed tomography; Coronary atherosclerosis; Pre-diabetes; Vector electrocardiography;

    Sammanfattning : The epicardial adipose tissue (EAT), which surrounds the heart and is separated from other tissues only by the thin layers of the pericardium, has enjoyed intense research for the past decades. Increased inflammatory activity in the EAT in coronary artery disease has, together with associated volumetric expansion of the EAT and changes in its radiodensity supported theories that the EAT might play a role in the pathogenesis of coronary atherosclerosis or mirror its progression better than traditional risk factors.
