  1. 1. Precision medicine and targeted therapy : Turning the tables on cancer

    Författare :Anja Mortensen; Marika Nestor; Gregory Adams; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :p53 cancers; PM2; radiosensitization; radio-immunotherapy; MDM2 X inhibition; combination therapy; targeted radionuclide therapy; CD44v6; Biomedical Radiation Science; Biomedicinsk strålningsvetenskap;

    Sammanfattning : An extended understanding of the molecular characteristics of cancer has led to a revolution within the field of precision medicine. This thesis explores the utilization of two targets for precision medicine, namely, CD44v6 and murine double-minute 2 and X (MDM2/X). LÄS MER

  2. 2. Targeted Therapy of Colorectal Cancer : Preclinical Evaluation of a Radiolabelled Antibody

    Författare :Ylva Almqvist; Anders Sundin; Vladimir Tolmachev; Hans Lundqvist; Matthew K Robinson; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :Molecular medicine; tumour targeting; antibody; A33; radionuclide; colorectal cancer; therapy; Molekylärmedicin;

    Sammanfattning : Targeted radiotherapy (TRT) of cancer is a promising approach that enables selective treatment of tumour cells, while sparing normal tissue. The humanized monoclonal antibody A33 (huA33) is a potential targeting agent for TRT of colorectal cancer, since its antigen is expressed in more than 95 % of all colorectal carcinomas. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Occupational therapy practice for clients with cognitive impairments following aquired brain injury : occupational therapists' perspective

    Författare :Kajsa Lidström Holmqvist; Ann-Britt Ivarsson; Kitty Kamwendo; Marie Holmefur; Margareta Lilja; Örebro universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; occupational therapy; cognition; rehabilitation; practice; acquired brain injury; stroke; TBI; assessment; intervention; Arbetsterapi; Occupational therapy;

    Sammanfattning : The overall aim of this thesis was to describe occupational therapy practice for clients with cognitive impairment following acquired brain injury (CIABI) from the perspective of practicing occupational therapists (OTs).To fulfill this aim, qualitative and quantitative approaches were used including interviews (Study I) and questionnaires (Studies II -IV). 4. 4. The ADAPT scaffold as a tool for diagnostic imaging and targeted therapy

    Författare :Emma von Witting; Sophia Hober; Inger Sandlie; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Protein G; ABD; ADAPT; affinity proteins; antibody; protein engineering; targeted therapy; nuclear medicine; molecular imaging; HER2; radionuclide therapy; Biotechnology; Bioteknologi;

    Sammanfattning : Molecular recognition, or the specific interactions between a protein and its ligand, is central to biology and a key factor for many different clinical and technical applications. Despite antibodies being only one of many different affinity proteins, it has by far been the most successful. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Targeted Inhibition of Polycomb Repressive Complexes in Multiple Myeloma : Implications for Biology and Therapy

    Författare :Mohammad Alzrigat; Helena Jernberg-Wiklund; Fredrik Öberg; Kristina Drott; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Multiple Myeloma; Epigenetics; Polycomb; PRC2; PRC1; EZH2; BMI-1; UNC1999; PTC-209; Epigenetic Therapy; Medicinsk vetenskap; Medical Science; Molekylär medicin; Molecular Medicine;

    Sammanfattning : Multiple myeloma (MM) is a hematological malignancy of antibody producing plasmablasts/plasma cells. MM is characterized by extensive genetic and clonal heterogeneity, which have hampered the attempts to identify a common underlying mechanism for disease establishment and development of appropriate treatment regimes.
