  1. 11. Green Urban Drainage Infrastructure : Hydrology and Modelling of Grass Swales

    Författare :Hendrik Rujner; Maria Viklander; Günther Leonhardt; Jiri Marsalek; Barraud Sylvie; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; VA-teknik; Urban Water Engineering; Centrumbildning - Centrum för dagvattenhantering DRIZZLE ; Centre - Centre for Stormwater Management DRIZZLE ;

    Sammanfattning : The management of urban runoff has evolved along with the advancement of understanding of runoff environmental impacts. Besides the impacts on water quality in the receiving waters, the impacts on the urban hydrologic regime include reduced infiltration by the sealing of pervious land, reduced evapotranspiration by removal of vegetation, and the resulting increase of stormwater runoff peaks and volumes causing flooding, and ultimately degradation of receiving waters. 2. 12. Coupled processes in seasonally frozen soils : Merging experiments and simulations

    Författare :Mousong Wu; Per-Erik Jansson; Bjorn Klove; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :LANTBRUKSVETENSKAPER; AGRICULTURAL SCIENCES; Frozen soil; Coupled transport; Energy balance; Uncertainties; Merged study; 冻土;水热盐运移;耦合关系;水热平衡;不确定性; Mark- och vattenteknik; Land and Water Resources Engineering;

    Sammanfattning : Soil freezing/thawing is of importance in the transport of water, heat and solute, with coupled effects. Due to complexity in soil freezing/thawing, uncertainty could be influential in both experimentation and simulation work in frozen soils. LÄS MER

  3. 13. Microbial mobilization and immobilization of soil nitrogen

    Författare :Per Bengtson; MEMEG; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Ecology; Ekologi; growth rate; microbial activity; respiration; assimilation; immobilization; Nitrogen; mineralization;

    Sammanfattning : Microorganisms in forest ecosystems normally recycle nitrogen (N), such that gaseous losses and leaching are limited. Mobilization of organic N, including microbial N, and immobilization of inorganic N, especially NH4+, are the quantitatively most important N transformation processes. Various factors influence their rates, e.g. LÄS MER

  4. 14. Urban microclimate and surface hydrometeorological processes

    Författare :Christer Jansson; Per-Erik Jansson; David Gustafsson; Chen Delian; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; CoupModel; ENVI-met; roughness sub-layer; urban heat island; Physical geography; Naturgeografi;

    Sammanfattning : The urban near surface atmosphere is of great concern since it affects the climate to which an increasing amount of people are immediately exposed. This study investigated the microclimate in central Stockholm in terms of the thermal conditions in the 0-2. LÄS MER

  5. 15. Modelling nutrient transport from forest ecosystems to surface waters : The model ForSAFE-2D

    Författare :Giuliana Zanchi; Institutionen för naturgeografi och ekosystemvetenskap; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; forest; dynamic modelling; hydrology; biogeochemistry; ecosystem service;

    Sammanfattning : Forests provide multiple products and services which are all are linked to water resources. Trees need water to grow and, at the same time, they change the quality and the quantity of runoff by modifying water and nutrient cycling. LÄS MER
