  1. 1. Thérèse Raquin d’Émile Zola : Répétitions lexicales, réseaux sémantiques et leurs traductions suédoises

    Författare :Eva M. Olsson Lönn; Gunnel Engwall; Mats Forsgren; Carla Cariboni Killander; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :HUMANIORA; HUMANITIES; Zola; Thérèse Raquin; lexical repetitions; semantic networks; style; isotopy; narratological structures; colour themes; antithesis; symmetry; translation; evaluation; equivalence; Zola; Thérèse Raquin; répétitions lexicales; réseaux sémantiques; style; isotopie; structures narratologiques; thèmes de couleur; antithèse; symétrie; traduction; évaluation; équivalence; Zola; Thérèse Raquin; lexikala upprepningar; semantiska nätverk; stil; isotopi; narratologiska strukturer; färgtematik; antites; symmetri; översättningsevaluering; ekvivalens; French; franska;

    Sammanfattning : The subject of this thesis is Emile Zola’s novel Thérèse Raquin (1867). The principal aim is to examine lexical repetitions and their importance for semantic networks. The thesis studies the use of the noun cou and certain of its co-occurrences, as well as the use of colours and their derivatives. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Ditransitives in Swedish : A Usage-Based Study of the Double Object Construction and Semantically Equivalent Prepositional Object Constructions 1800–2016

    Författare :Fredrik Valdeson; Cecilia Falk; Jan Svanlund; Catrin Norrby; Elena Smirnova; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :HUMANIORA; HUMANITIES; ditransitives; double object construction; dative alternation; Late Modern Swedish; construction grammar; usage-based; lexical richness; language change; semantic change; semantic maps; taxonomic networks; horizontal links; Scandinavian Languages; nordiska språk;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis examines the use of the Swedish double object construction (the DOC) and compares this with the use of three semantically equivalent prepositional object constructions (POCs): the till-POC, the åt-POC and the för-POC. The thesis has a diachronic perspective, investigating changes in the use of these four constructions between 1800 and 2016. LÄS MER

  3. 3. End-to-End Learning of Deep Structured Models for Semantic Segmentation

    Författare :Måns Larsson; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Semantic segmentation; deep structured models; supervised learning; convolutional neural networks; conditional random fields;

    Sammanfattning : The task of semantic segmentation aims at understanding an image at a pixel level. This means assigning a label to each pixel of an image, describing the object it is depicting. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Contributions to Semantic Dependency Parsing : Search, Learning, and Application

    Författare :Robin Kurtz; Marco Kuhlmann; Lilja Øvrelid; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES;

    Sammanfattning : Semantic dependency parsing is the task of mapping natural language sentences into representations of their meaning in the form of directed graphs on words. These bilexical graphs are designed to capture the sentence-internal predicate-argument relationships – they tell us “who did what to whom” in the given sentence. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Deep Regression and Segmentation for Medical Inference from Large-Scale Magnetic Resonance Imaging

    Författare :Taro Langner; Joel Kullberg; Anders Eklund; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Magnetic resonance imaging; medical image analysis; neural networks; machine learning; semantic segmentation; deep regression; saliency analysis; uncertainty quantification; UK Biobank; Medical Informatics; Medicinsk informatik;

    Sammanfattning : Large-scale studies, such as UK Biobank, acquire medical imaging data for thousands of participants. With magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), comprehensive representations of human anatomy can be provided for non-invasive assessments of health-related conditions, body composition, organ volumes, and more.
