1. Thérèse Raquin d’Émile Zola : Répétitions lexicales, réseaux sémantiques et leurs traductions suédoises
Sammanfattning : The subject of this thesis is Emile Zola’s novel Thérèse Raquin (1867). The principal aim is to examine lexical repetitions and their importance for semantic networks. The thesis studies the use of the noun cou and certain of its co-occurrences, as well as the use of colours and their derivatives. LÄS MER
2. Small energy isotopies of loose Legendrian submanifolds
Sammanfattning : In the first paper, we prove that for a closed Legendrian submanifold L of dimension n>2 with a loose chart of size η, any Legendrian isotopy starting at L can be C0-approximated by a Legendrian isotopy with energy arbitrarily close to η/2. This in particular implies that the displacement energy of loose displaceable Legendrians is bounded by half the size of its smallest loose chart, which proves a conjecture of Dimitroglou Rizell and Sullivan. 3. Knots and Surfaces in Real Algebraic and Contact Geometry
Sammanfattning : This thesis consists of a summary and three articles. The thesis is devoted to the study of knots and surfaces with additional geometric structures compared to the classical smooth structure. LÄS MER
4. Khovanov Homology and Link Cobordisms
Sammanfattning : Khovanov homology associates to any link in three-dimensional space a bigraded chain complex of Z[c]-modules, whose graded Euler characteristic (after normalization) is the Jones polynomial of the link. The complex is invariant up to homotopy equivalence under ambient isotopy of the link. LÄS MER
5. Encierro y sustitución en El obsceno pájaro de la noche de José Donoso
Sammanfattning : The novel El obsceno påjaro de la noche ( The Obscene Bird of Night) (1970) by José Donoso is considered to be essentially governed by two semantic isotopies: the Enclosure and the Substitution. The Substitution is a consequence of the Enclosure, which is manifested as a reaction to the inhibitive effect of the Enclosure; in this way the polarity between these two governing isotopies generates a dynamic which permits both the development of the story and its interpretative coherence.
