31. Design of solid dosage forms for mucosal vaccination - Investigations on the influence of excipients on product performance
Sammanfattning : Most vaccines today are liquid formulations for parental administration. However, there are several drawbacks connected to these vaccines. Since injectable vaccines only induce systemic antibody responses, they are not effective against the various pathogens that affect mucosal surfaces with poor permeability for serum-derived antibodies, e.g. LÄS MER
32. Cold-Electron Bolometers fabricated with Direct Write Technology for Microwave Receiver systems
Sammanfattning : This thesis concerns the development of microwave detector technology for cosmology instruments and THz imaging, including fabrication of SIN tunnel junctions for thermometry and bolometric detectors, and also phase switch circuits as a part of integrated microwave receiver systems. Cold-Electron Bolometers (CEB) based on Superconductor-Insulator-Normal metal (SIN) tunnel junctions have been developed for employment in sub-millimeter astronomical receivers. LÄS MER
33. Health Care Customer Creativity
Sammanfattning : Crafting and stimulating service innovation is considered a main research priority and remains a challenge for service providers. One suggested component of stimulating service innovation is customer creativity. LÄS MER
34. Metaproteogenomics-guided enzyme discovery : Targeted identification of novel proteases in microbial communities
Sammanfattning : Industrial biotechnology is a large and growing industry as it is part of establishing a “greener” and more sustainable bioeconomy-based society. Using enzymes as biocatalysts is a viable alternative to chemicals and energy intense industrial processes and is en route to a more sustainable industry. LÄS MER
35. Design of Cellulose-Based Electrically Conductive Composites: Fundamentals, Modifications, and Scale-up
Sammanfattning : Modern demand for consumer electronics is fueling the generation of 'E-waste.' Furthermore, theraw materials and manufacturing methods used in the fabrication of electronics are not sustainable. LÄS MER
