  1. 1. Diversity and phylogeography in Alisma (Alismataceae), with emphasis on Northern European taxa

    Detta är en avhandling från Anders Jacobson, Department of Ecology, Plant Ecology and Systematics, Sölvegatan 37, 223 62 Lund

    Författare :Anders Jacobson; Lund University.; Lunds universitet.; [2003]
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; morphology; phytogeography; chemotaxonomy. Physiology of nonvascular plants; taxonomy; Systematic botany; Baltic Sea; Europe; refugia; post-glacial migration; phylogeography; marsh plants; genetic variation; aquatic plants; Alisma; Systematisk botanik; taxonomi; morfologi; kemotaxonomi. Växters fysiologi inte kärlväxter .;

    Sammanfattning : In the present thesis the phylogeny and patterns of genetic diversity of the plant genus Alisma (Alismataceae) were investigated by means of genetic markers (RAPDs, allozymes, and ITS and trnL sequences). Additionally, morphological studies were carried out in paper IV. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Phylogeography of the Adder, Vipera berus

    Detta är en avhandling från Uppsala : Acta Universitatis Upsaliensis

    Författare :Martin Carlsson; Uppsala universitet.; [2003]
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Genetics; Phylogeography; Vipera; adders; mtDNA; microsatellites; RAPDs; Genetik; MEDICINE Dermatology and venerology; clinical genetics; internal medicine Clinical genetics; MEDICIN Dermatologi och venerologi; klinisk genetik; invärtesmedicin Klinisk genetik; Genetics; genetik;

    Sammanfattning : The phylogeography of a wide ranging temperate species, the adder, Vipera berus, was investigated using several genetic tools, with special emphasis on the post-glacial colonisation pattern of Fennoscandia. The area was colonised from two directions by adder populations representing different glacial refugia. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Phylogeographic Structure and Genetic Variation in Formica Ants

    Detta är en avhandling från Uppsala : Acta Universitatis Upsaliensis

    Författare :Anna Goropashnaya; Uppsala universitet.; [2003]

    Sammanfattning : The aim of this thesis is to study phylogeny, species-wide phylogeography and genetic diversity in Formica ants across Eurasia in connection with the history of biotic responses to Quaternary environmental changes.The mitochondrial DNA phylogeny of Palaearctic Formica species supported the subgeneric grouping based on morphological similarity. 4. 4. Conservation Genetics of the White-Tailed Eagle

    Detta är en avhandling från Uppsala : Acta Universitatis Upsaliensis

    Författare :Frank Hailer; Uppsala universitet.; [2006]
    Nyckelord :Biology; Haliaeetus albicilla; microsatellites; mtDNA; molecular sexing; population structure; bottleneck; phylogeography; raptors; Biologi;

    Sammanfattning : The white-tailed eagle is a formerly threatened raptor that is commonly used as a flagship and indicator species in conservation work. This thesis uses molecular genetic methods to study sex determination of nestlings, genetic variability, population structure and phylogeography of the white-tailed eagle. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Evolutionary History of the Root Vole (Microtus oeconomus) as Revealed by Y Chromosome and Mitochondrial DNA sequences

    Detta är en avhandling från Cecilia Brunhoff, Dept. of Cell and Organism Biology, Lund University, Sweden

    Författare :Cecilia Brunhoff; Lund University.; Lunds universitet.; [2003]
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Genetics; colonization history; phylogeography; root vole; cytogenetics; Genetik; cytogenetik;

    Sammanfattning : The root vole (Microtus oeconomus) is a rodent with Holarctic distribution. In fact, it is the only Microtus vole found in both Eurasia and North America. Phylogeographic analyses of the root vole from across its distribution range were performed using mitochondrial and Y chromosome DNA sequences. LÄS MER
