Sammanfattning : Denna forskning genomfördes under åren 2000–2004. Forskningssammanhanget är både Lesbiska studier och IMER forskning. I avhandlingen studeras livserfarenheter som 21 lesbiska informanter från 15 olika länder, alla invandrare i Sverige, berättar om. Utgångspunkten för forskningen är sexualitet och migration. LÄS MER

Sammanfattning : The dissertation considers welfare with regard to international mobility and immobility. It addresses a tension between two different conceptualisations of the organisation of everyday life with regard to nation-states: one that views everyday life as relatively mobile across nation-state borders and boundaries, and another that treats everyday life as relatively confined within such limits. Sammanfattning : A major purpose of this study is to describe and analyse representations of migration and migrants in three local Swedish newspapers, Arbetarbladet, Borås Tidning, and Vestmanlands Läns Tidning and one national, Dagens Nyheter, at eight selected years during the period of 1945 – 2005. Sammanfattning : Background: Despite lack of evidence, there is a common notion that diseases are brought along with migrants, and thus a threat to people in the host country. The results of those discussions were the fortification of the EU’s external borders, the strengthening of the mandate of relevant EU Agencies and the establishment of new databases in the Area of Freedom, Security and Justice (AFSJ).
