6. Porous polymeric materials for chromatography : Synthesis, functionalization and characterization
Sammanfattning : Background: Separation science is heavily reliant on materials to fulfill ever more complicated demands raised by other areas of science, notably the rapidly expanding molecular biosciences and environmental monitoring. The key to successful separations lies in a combination of physical properties and surface chemistry of stationary phases used in liquid chromatographic separation, and this thesis address both aspects of novel separation materials. 7. Lipase selectivity in functional polyester synthesis
Sammanfattning : Enzyme selectivity means that the enzyme´s preferences towards competing substrates will be different. In this thesis, the enzyme selectivity has been studied for utilization in synthesis of functionalized macromonomers. LÄS MER
8. Branched aliphatic polycarbonates : synthesis and coating applications
Sammanfattning : The overall aim of this thesis is to describe the synthesisof branched aliphatic polycarbonates and show the potentialapplication of these polymers in the field of powder coatings. The characterization of the polycarbonates was facilitated bythe study of a series of bis-MPAdendrimers, which served asreference of perfectly branched polymers. 9. Synthesis and characterization of dendritic architectures
Sammanfattning : The goal of this work was to synthesize different dendritic architectures and evaluate the effect from the dendrons on the material properties. The work presented in this licentiate thesis, Synthesis and Characterization of Dendritic Architectures, is divided into major parts. LÄS MER
10. Amphiphilic Graft Copolymer Electrolytes for Lithium-Ion Polymer Batteries. - Preparation and Characterisation
Sammanfattning : In the present work amphiphilic graft copolymers were prepared by free radical copolymerization of macromonomers in solution. The graft copolymers consisted of methacrylate backbones bearing ethylene oxide (EO)n side chains of varying length as ionophilic groups, and fluorocarbon (CF2)6 side chains or hydrocarbon groups as ionophobic groups.
