Leukotriene B4 (LTB4) is a potent chemoattractant for neutrophils and contributes to bacterial killing, while the cysteinyl leukotrienes (LTC4, LTD4 and LTE4) elicit increased vascular permeability, bronchoconstriction, eosinophil trafficking and mucus secretion.
