31. Spatio-Temporal Stream Reasoning with Adaptive State Stream Generation
Sammanfattning : A lot of today's data is generated incrementally over time by a large variety of producers. This data ranges from quantitative sensor observations produced by robot systems to complex unstructured human-generated texts on social media. With data being so abundant, making sense of these streams of data through reasoning is challenging. LÄS MER
32. Interoperability Infrastructure and Incremental learning for unreliable heterogeneous communicating Systems
Sammanfattning : In a broader sense the main research objective of this thesis (and ongoing research work) is distributed knowledge management for mobile dynamic systems. But the primary focus and presented work focuses on communication/interoperability of heterogeneous entities in an infrastructure less paradigm, a distributed resource manipulation infrastructure and distributed learning in the absence of global knowledge. 33. Natural Intelligence in Artificial Creatures
Sammanfattning : What mechanisms are needed in a cognitive system, such as an animal or a robot, and how do these mechanisms interact with each other? The thesis presents a study of this problem within the field of behavior-based systems and artificial neural networks. The thesis brings together ideas from behavior-based robotics, control theory and machine learning and combines them with models from ethology, psychology and neurobiology in an attempt to synthesize a complete, artificial nervous system for a simulated artificial creature. 34. Learning visual perception for autonomous systems
Sammanfattning : In the last decade, developments in hardware, sensors and software have made it possible to create increasingly autonomous systems. These systems can be as simple as limited driver assistance software lane-following in cars, or limited collision warning systems for otherwise manually piloted drones. LÄS MER
35. Safety-Aware Autonomous Systems : Preparing Robots for Life in the Real World
Sammanfattning : Real‐world autonomous systems are expected to be increasingly deployed and operating in real‐world environments over the coming decades. Autonomous systems such as AI‐enabled robotic systems and intelligent transportation systems, will alleviate mundane human work, provide new services, and facilitate a smarter and more flexible infrastructure.
