  1. 11. Möjligheter till kompetensutveckling : ett individperspektiv på relationen människa - organisation : en studie av individer i reklam- och revisionsföretag

    Författare :Monica Lindgren; Umeå universitet; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; Commitment; competence development; knowledge-intensive firms; individual perspective; individual values; intersubjective interpretation; relationship; subjective interpretation; organisational values;

    Sammanfattning : This study deals with individual possibilities for competence development in knowledge-intensive firms, especially advertising and audit firms. The study has an individual perspective which means that the organization is analyzed as subjective perception of individuals. LÄS MER

  2. 12. Causes and consequences of individual variation in anti-predator traits

    Författare :Kaj Hulthén; Enhet akvatisk ekologi; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Animal migration; partial migration; individual differences; predator; personality trait; phenotypic plasticity; inducible defence; mortality risk;

    Sammanfattning : Predation imposes a potent evolutionary force on prey, moulding the evolution of traits and diversification of species, and can furthermore have powerful ecological consequences. We know that different species vary in how they cope with their natural enemies, and, consequently, a huge range of anti-predator defences are displayed in nature. LÄS MER

  3. 13. Individual consistency in bird migration

    Författare :YANNIS VARDANIS; Evolutionär ekologi; []
    Nyckelord :bird migration; telemetry; bird ringing; individual consistency; repeatability; site fidelity; routes; timing; annual cycle; meta-analysis;

    Sammanfattning : Slight differences, which appear in the individual animals of the same species and population have been recognised and appreciated ever since Darwin. These consistent intra-specific differences in animals have been considered very important because they are often inherited, and thus, provide the basic material for evolution to act on. LÄS MER

  4. 14. The aging brain and changes in cognitive performance : Findings from morphometry and quantitative susceptibility mapping of iron

    Författare :Ninni Persson; Håkan Fischser; Kristine B. Walhovd; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; brain aging; volumes; ndividual differences; QSM; cognitive aging; iron; episodic memory; fluid-; crystalized abilities; sex differences; gender differences; Psychology; psykologi;

    Sammanfattning : Brain aging is a heterogeneous phenomenon, and this thesis illustrates how the course of aging can vary within individuals over time and between individuals as a function of age, sex, and genetic variability. We used two contrasts from magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), namely spin-lattice T1-weighted imaging, and quantitative susceptibility mapping (QSM) from gradient-echo images, to picture the aging brain, by means of morphometric measures and brain-iron concentrations. 5. 15. Alternative employment and well-being : Contract heterogeneity and differences among individuals

    Författare :Claudia Bernhard-Oettel; Magnus Sverke; Kerstin Isaksson; Gunnar Aronsson; Sabine Raeder; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; Employment contract; temporary work; part-time work; individual characteristics; contract motives; work involvement; job characteristics; work-related attitudes; well-being; health; Psychology; Psykologi; psykologi; Psychology;

    Sammanfattning : The increasing use of temporary and part-time employment in recent decades was initially expected to lead to negative effects for the individual. The empirical evidence, however, has been equivocal and the consequences are therefore still unclear. LÄS MER
