  2. 2. Performance-based costing as decision support for development of discrete part production : Linking performance, production costs and sustainability

    Författare :Christina Windmark; Industriell Produktion; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Production cost; PERFORMANCE; decision support; manufacturing; production development; performance-based costing; sustainability; organizational learning; Production cost; Performance; Decision support; Manufacturing; Production development; performance-based costing; Sustainability; Organizational learning;

    Sammanfattning : In today’s global market, the industry is struggling every day to make the “correct decisions”. Decisions concerning production can range from smaller improvements to choice tool or equipment investments to relocation of entire production facilities. LÄS MER

  3. 3. On the Analysis of Energy Efficient Aircraft Engines

    Författare :Oskar Thulin; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Performance modelling; Aero engine; Turbofan; Aircraft engine; Installed propulsion; Ultra high bypass ratio; Exergy analysis; Engine weight estimate; Variable area fan nozzle; Multiple pivoting flaps; Translating cowls;

    Sammanfattning : Aero engine performance analysis is highly multidimensional using various measures of component performance such as turbomachinery and mechanical efficiencies, and pressure loss coefficients. Using conventional performance analysis, relying on only the laws of thermodynamics, it is possible to understand how the performance parameters affect the component performance, but it is difficult to directly compare the magnitude of various loss sources. 4. 4. On Contact Mechanisms and Mechanical Transmission Performance

    Författare :Lars Maclennan; Maskinelement; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; vacuum technology; vibration and acoustic engineering; Maskinteknik; hydraulik; vakuumteknik; vibrationer; akustik; hydraulics; Mechanical engineering; artificial neural network; experimental study; disc brake; dynamic analysis; shaft; Spur gear;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis consists of four papers, which treat the modelling of a spur gear set and a disc brake, and the interaction between the machine elements. Features of the performance are studied in relation to the initial stated assumptions. LÄS MER

  5. 5. High Performance Bio-based Composites : Mechanical and Environmental Durability

    Författare :Newsha Doroudgarian; Kristofer Gamstedt; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Polymeric Composite Materials; Polymera konstruktionsmaterial;

    Sammanfattning : The presented work is a part of the ongoing effort on the development of high performance bio-based composites with enhanced durability, under static and dynamic mechanical loading including the exposure to elevated humidity. The impact of relative humidity on the performance of cellulosic fibers (natural and regenerated), bio-based resins and their composites was studied. LÄS MER
