6. Characterization of Terminal Antennas for Diversity and MIMO Systems by Theory, Simulations and Measurements in Reverberation Chamber
Sammanfattning : This thesis is based on the work of designing and building a small reverberation chamber, and to use this chamber for characterization of antennas on mobile terminals such as phones. The characterization is done in terms of radiation efficiency, diversity gain and maximum available capacity. LÄS MER
7. Wide-angle scanning wide-band phased array antennas
Sammanfattning : This thesis considers problems related to the design and the analysis of wide-angle scanning phased arrays. The goals of the thesis are the design and analysis of antenna elements suitable for wide-angle scanning array antennas, and the study of scan blindness effects and edge effects for this type of antennas. 8. Non-galvanic Interconnects for Millimeter-wave Systems
Sammanfattning : Fueled by the increasing demand for higher data rates, millimeter-wave (mmW) systems emerged as a candidate that can provide multi-gigabit per second (Gb/s) transmission. This demand is mainly driven by modern communication systems and several other wireless and sensing applications such as production quality inspection and imaging systems. LÄS MER
9. I vinst och förlust : Köpmäns nätverk i 1500-talets Östersjöstäder
Sammanfattning : This thesis aims to clarify how the merchant networks involved in the trade across the Baltic Sea interplayed with and contributed to create the economic culture of the Baltic Sea region. This is achieved by examining the economic, social, spatial and political aspects of the trade networks in relation to the social organisation of the early modern towns of Stockholm, Lübeck, Malmö and Reval (Tallinn) in the 16th century. 10. Novel RF MEMS Devices for W-Band Beam-Steering Front-Ends
Sammanfattning : This thesis presents novel millimeter-wave microelectromechanical-systems (MEMS) components for W-band reconfigurable beam-steering front-ends. The proposed MEMS components are novel monocrystalline-silicon dielectric-block phase shifters, and substrate-integrated three-dimensional (3D) micromachined helical antennas designed for the nominal frequency of 75 GHz.
