Sammanfattning : The aim of the dissertation is to elucidate Iron Age settlement in southern Halland from two angles: (1) the evidence of antiquities (graves), ground finds of metal and rock, and place-names; (2) the information conveyed by investigations in settlement archaeology. The combined study of graves, ground finds, and place-names shows that the image of southern Halland in the Iron Age differs depending on which category is analysed. LÄS MER

Sammanfattning : Strong declines of European farmland birds in recent decades are assumed to be caused by decreased food availability resulting from agricultural intensification and concomitant loss of farmland heterogeneity. Sammanfattning : The dissertation can be divided into two parts, the first of which is a detailed analysis of three excavations concerning Mellanbyn in southern Malmö. In the second part I study the more general development of society, relating Mellanbyn to the surrounding area as well as to the region as a whole during Late Bronze Age and the Early Iron Age.
