1. Self-supervised deep learning and EEG categorization
Sammanfattning : Deep learning has the potential to be used to improve and streamline EEG analysis. At the present, classifiers and supervised learning dominate the field. Supervised learning depends on target labels which most often are created by human experts manually classifying data. LÄS MER
2. Towards Reliable, Stable and Fast Learning for Smart Home Activity Recognition
Sammanfattning : The current population age grows increasingly in industrialized societies and calls for more intelligent tools to monitor human activities. The aims of these intelligent tools are often to support senior people in their homes, to keep track of their daily activities, and to early detect potential health problems to facilitate a long and independent life. 3. Spectral modeling of nebular-phase supernovae
Sammanfattning : Massive stars live fast and die young. They shine furiously for a few million years, during which time they synthesize most of the heavy elements in the universe in their cores. They end by blowing themselves up in a powerful explosion known as a supernova (SN). LÄS MER
4. Kampen om högt och lågt. Studier i den sena nittonhundratalsromanens förhållande till masskulturen och moderniteten
Sammanfattning : The Struggle for High and Low Culture. Studies in the Late Twentieth Century Novel’s Relationship to Mass Culture and Modernity. It is a widespread opinion that the boundaries between high culture and mass culture have become less defined in our postmodern culture. LÄS MER
5. Molecular mechanisms and targets of new anticancer treatments
Sammanfattning : The work presented in this thesis is an effort to decipher and understand the mechanism of action (MOA) of anticancer agents by building on and complementing chemical proteomics methods. The backbone of the thesis relies on a recent method called Functional Identification of Target by Expression Proteomics (FITExP) developed in Zubarev lab, where drug induced proteomic signatures are analyzed in various cell lines and top differentially regulated proteins with consistent behavior are determined, among which the drug target and mechanistic proteins are usually present.
